WINTER BIRD FEEDING & VIEWING
ISU Ext. & Outreach: Bremer Co. & Plum Creek Art Center hosting
Wednesday, January 29 | 6:30 pm
Watching and feeding our birds & wildlife is a great way to appreciate & help them through the harsh Iowa winters. To help better understand & identify common winter bird species & how to attact them with different feeds and feeder types, Iowa State Extension & Outreach is partnering with Plum Creek Art Center
How large are their wingspans? What are some unique characteristics of certain species you didn't know about? Ron Lenth, Program Coordinator for ISU Extension & Outreach - Bremer County, will present these programs. It's a great family-friendly way to learn more about the natural world around us. Youth are also invited to learn how to make bird feeders from pine cones and corn cobs to hang on trees near their homes.
Please bring a canned good or free will donation for the local food bank.
