REMINDERS ...

        Time to get your golf cart / UTV Registration for 2017. (Your current one expired on Dec. 31, 2017). Remember you are to have a 12x12 SMV sign on the back, a bicycle flag that is 6 ft. in the air / you are not to ride on or along HWY 18 or on the Trail / you may cross HWY 18. Please let us know if you have any questions.

         It's mowing time again .... please remember to be kind and not blow your grass out into the street when mowing and try not to blow on your neighbor's property.

         Time to get our yards cleaned up from the winter ... if you have any junk setting around, please get moved / cleaned up and please keep your lawns mowed in a timely fashion to avoid getting a letter and a possible fine.

 

CITY RULES

Yard Waste

                105.06    SEPARATION OF YARD WASTE REQUIRED.  All yard waste shall be separated by the owner or occupant from all other solid waste accumulated on the premises and shall be composted or burned on the premises or placed in acceptable containers (yard waste bags purchased through the City) and set out for collection by the City, which will be on a different day from regular solid waste collection.  The City yard waste bags are sold at $.50 each.  Yard waste must be in the special yard waste bags in order for the yard waste to be picked up by City employees.  Only debris such as grass clippings, leaves and garden waste may be put in the yard waste bags.  If customers choose to haul their own yard waste, they are not required to use the bags but are required to empty out the contents of the bags at the yard waste site.  Tree limbs of less than four (4) inches in diameter and brush will be collected by the City employees provided they are securely tied in bundles not more than forty-eight (48) inches long or eighteen (18) inches in diameter.  The weight of any individual bundle shall not exceed seventy-five (75) pounds.  Yard waste bags and bundles of limbs should be set on the area between the curb and sidewalk, not in the street.

Garbage Containers

          All Garbage MUST be in the brown garbage tote. (NO EXTRA BAGS SETTING ALONG SIDE)

                Garbage Totes need to be set out by 7 a.m. and not be set in the street. 

                The lid on the garbage tote MUST be CLOSED.

               

Large Items

          To dispose of large items such as chairs, couches, tables, etc, you can still buy a yellow sticker to put on the item for pickup.  Each sticker cost $2.00 each.  (Some items will take more than one sticker) - we do not pickup appliances / electronics / TV's / Tires

 

Mowing

                Be done in a timely fashion to avoid - Weeds, Brush.  Dense growth of all weeds, vines, brush or other vegetation, including grasses, weeds and other vegetation having reached a height exceeding six (6) inches,

                DO NOT BLOW Grass into the street when mowing as this clogs up the storm sewers
