Lifeguards --- applications are available at the City Hall ... stop in to get one, request one on here, send us an email at or call 563-237-5725 to get one too. They need to be turned in by noon on March 12th at the City Hall.


Janitor -- the City is taking applications for a janitor to clean the City Offices, Community Center and AmVet Hall ... Hours will vary depending on the number of events that are held at the hall. This is a part-time position and most of the time hours can be flexible. Applications are available here at the City Hall. Call or email Cindy at the City Hall for more information or for an application - 563-237-5725 or Applications are due by noon on Thursday, March 8th at the City Hall.



CANNED FOOD PRODUCTS ... let's see how big of pile we can accumulate here at City Hall for our Food Bank. (Canned Food Products -- any can food item). Bring your CANNED FOOD ITEM to the City Hall during office hours and we'll make a display and show everyone how we are doing. Thank you for helping out the Fredericksburg Food Bank ... spread the word and let's see what we can get!


We are happy to announce that the Fredericksburg Elementary has partnered up with the Fredericksburg Food Bank in March. They too will be collecting canned food items. We are so excited to be partnering with them!!! Thank you Fredericksburg Elementary!!


REMINDERS ...  it is time to get your GOLF CART / UTV REGISTRATIONS for 2018!!!!

        FYI- your golf cart / UTV Registration for 2017 EXPIRED on Dec. 31, 2017. To be legal in 2018, you will need to get a 2018 sticker and fill out a new registration form.  The cost is $30.00.

Remember you are to have a 12x12 SMV sign on the back, a bicycle flag that is 6 ft. in the air / you are not to ride on or along HWY 18 or on the Trail / you may cross HWY 18. Please let us know if you have any questions.




Snow Removal

69.10    SNOW REMOVAL.  No person, except physicians or other persons on emergency calls, shall park, abandon or leave unattended any vehicle on any public street, alley, or City-owned off-street parking area during snow removal operations unless the snow has been removed or plowed from said street, alley or parking area and the snow has ceased to fall.  The provisions of this section shall apply during the “snow removal season” which commences under either of the following conditions:

(Code of Iowa, 321.236[1])

1.                   The first measurable snowfall or November 1, whichever comes first; or

2.                   Snow removal operations have been commenced by the City.


Garbage Totes

          **All Garbage MUST be in the brown garbage tote. (NO EXTRA BAGS SETTING ALONG SIDE or on TOP on your tote)

          **Garbage Totes need to be set out by 7 a.m. on your garbage.

          **DO NOT SET your TOTE in the street. 

         **The lid on the garbage tote MUST be CLOSED.

               Large Items

          To dispose of large items such as chairs, couches, tables, etc, you can still buy a yellow sticker to put on the item for pickup.  Each sticker cost $2.00 each.  (Some items will take more than one sticker) - we do not pickup appliances / electronics / TV's / Tires


RECYCLING DATE -- Recycling dates - March 15, 29 / April 12, 26 / May 10, 24 / June 7, 21

AmVet Auxiliary Post 90 - meets the 2nd Monday of each month at the AmVet Hall 

AmVets Post 90 - meets the 3rd Monday of each month at the AmVet Hall. 

Fredericksburg Lions- meets the 2nd and 4th Monday's of each month at the F'Burg Comm. Center.

MEALSITE is every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m.  It is held in the back meeting room at City Hall / Community Center.
