What's New Fredericksburg 8/24/2017

School has started and finally my lunch hours are back to normal and peaceful!! Please watch out for the little ones on bikes and walking around before and after school.  It has been an unbelievable August thus far the weather has been great!  As fall approaches and you are cleaning up your yards please remember to mow your grass into your yard not into the streets.  When the grass gets in the storm sewer it slows everything down when it rains.

The trail project will be moving fast and furious after Labor Day.  While work is being done we will be closing the trail sections at a time.  We will keep everyone informed on closing and barricade it as well.  We are at the ...

Attention:
Any flood debris that needs picked up from your home will now be by appointment only. Please call city hall to have it picked up. Friday is the dead line. Next week extra bags will not be picked up with regular trash.
In other news we are making headway with the flood and trying to get cleaned up as fast as we can. The trail is going to take some time and some help from others. Please be very careful on the trail. Much of it is damaged. The bridge on the east end of the city park is going to be repaired next week.
