Chili Cook-off /Pie Auction ... was held on January 8 at 4 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Community Center. A good time was had by all. Ryan Steege won 1st place with his chili and Mike Quigley came in 2nd. Check back for 2012 date.
Evening of Elegance - An evening of entertainment and good food. The date for 2011 is March 19th ... The event will be at the Fredericksburg Community Center at 151 W. Main Street, Fredericksburg. Call City Hall at 563-237-5725 for more details.
Fredericksburg Dairy Days -- the second Wednesday of June -- the summer of 2010 will be the 86th Annual Dairy Day! It has been said, "That this is the day where the Town of a 1,000 becomes a Town of 10,000". Come join in the fun!!
This event begins on the Tuesday before with midway rides, street sports for the kids, the Old Timers Softball Game with Fireworks following the game. The fun continues on Wednesday with a morning and evening parade (one of the biggest parades around), midway rides & amusements and entertainment for young & old. After the night parade is the crowing of the Chickasaw County Dairy Princess and Little Miss Squirt.

Northeast Iowa Antique Tractor & Engine Power Show -- the second weekend in August. Come join in the fun & excitement! New events are added each year. Each year a different make of Tractor is featured. One event is the crowing of Little Miss & Mr. Sprout.

The Great Pumpkin Ride -- Sponsored by the Fredericksb urg Women of Today. This event is held in October of each year. Usually around the 3rd weekend of October. Kids & parents travel on a horse drawn wagon to the pumpkin patch to pick out their pumpkin. Each ride takes approximately 1/2 hour. 2010 Date is Saturday, October 16th.
Trick or Treating ... in Fredericksburg ... 2011 date will be announced at a later date.
Hometown Christmas -- Sponsored by the Fredericksburg Women of Today. There are silent auction items to bid on ... where the proceeds go to community betterment. There are tables & tables of craft items and baked goods. Hometown Christmas is held at the Fredericksburg Community Center located at 151 West Main Street on the first weekend of December.
